September 14, 2011 is not a date Minx will forget anytime soon. At a spectacular awards night in Sydney, Australia, the Sydney-born and already successful house DJ was crowned the winner of EMI's inaugural She Can DJ competition. Her win followed an extensive A&R search led by industry ambassadors as diverse as Simon Coyle (Director - Totem OneLove responsible for Australia's biggest dance music festival - Stereosonic), Libby Clark (Owner - Inthemix.com.au) and international ambassadors: Sarah Main (Pacha, Ibiza), Jason Ellis (Director - Positiva Records, EMI UK) and Bart Cools (EMI). Minx was signed to a global EMI record deal, having competed alongside the top 10 DJ/producers shortlisted from Australia & New Zealand's top 100 professional female DJ's.
